Stories from Willowmere
Read in order to follow Nora, Liv and Signe from the first open window into the longer days. Stories seven and eight are the June theatre coda.
- The First Open Window in Willowmere
Nora has finished work for the week. Then a lemon tree arrives on the ferry, and her quiet Friday takes a rather lovely detour.
- The Chair in the Sun
One coffee. One book. The best chair outside The Morning Room. Nora's Saturday is going beautifully—until someone comes to claim her seat.
- A Table Among the Pots
Three women arrive at The Glasshouse with three different plans for the same table. There will be coffee. There may be a small misunderstanding.
- The Ferry She Almost Missed
Nora has one earring in and a ferry to catch. Signe has promised a small fabric sale. Neither has mentioned the phone call that could change their spring.
- Rain on the Glasshouse Roof
Rain on the roof, rose-coloured silk and an unexpected visitor. Signe's quiet fitting becomes an evening she hadn't quite prepared for.
- Still Light at Seven
It's seven o'clock, the bakery is closed, and there's still light on the river. Nora has no dinner plans. The baker has come prepared.
- The Seats She Saved
The tickets are booked, the bakery is closed, and Nora has finally finished her blue linen scarf. Now it's Signe's turn to show them what she's made.
- The Dress at Breakfast
Signe arrives in the dress. Ingrid has questions. And Liv has quietly arranged something none of her friends saw coming.
