FOUNDING EDITION · 97-PAGE WORKBOOK + PRINTABLE BOX LABEL STUDIO
Founding Edition · Signature Planning Workbook
A beautifully organised Signature Planning Workbook for leaving lighter, making the expensive decisions in the right order, moving with more calm and shaping a new house around the life you actually want to live there.
A new home can be exciting and completely overwhelming at the same time.
The decisions rarely arrive in a calm, sensible order.
The kitchen needs answers before you have stood in the room. Electrical points depend on furniture you may not own yet. Lead times begin to matter while the old house is still full. Trades overlap, plaster needs longer to dry than a task list suggests, boxes follow you through the front door - and everyone keeps asking when the house will be finished.
The New Home Studio brings those disconnected moments into one considered journey.
It helps you see what matters now, what can wait and what may be better decided only after you have lived in the house.
Too many belongings
Decide what deserves space in the next home before the boxes arrive.
Too many connected decisions
See how furniture, electrics, finishes, trades, deadlines and budget affect one another.
Too much pressure to finish everything
Separate the move-in minimum from the layers that can evolve slowly.
Too many loose notes
Bring the full new-home season into one calm, printable system.
What Is The New Home Studio?
The New Home Studio is a 97-page English-language planning workbook for people moving into a new-build or newly purchased home. It combines pre-move decluttering, early technical and interior decisions, budgets, lead times, trade sequencing, moving-company comparison, box labelling and the first weeks of making the house feel like home. A separate six-page printable Box Label Studio is included.

Let the house become yours
Not a generic moving checklist.
Not a contractor-management platform with accounts or live collaboration.
Not construction drawings, electrical calculations or building specifications.
Not financial, tax, legal or personalised interior-design advice.
One Home Journey. Five Beautifully Organised Stages.
01
Your Move Begins
See the whole season before entering the details. Capture your dates, working window, pressure points and the difference between what must happen before moving and what can safely wait.
Includes: New Home Profile · Important Dates & Handover Window · Pressure Points · Project at a Glance
02
Leave Lighter
Clear what should not consume packing time, moving cost and space in the next home - without turning the move into a performance of minimalism.
Includes: Declutter Runway · five Zone Edits · The Moving Light Edit · Measure Before You Move It · Selling Plan · Donation & Disposal Plan
03
Plan the Practical
Give the early, permanent and expensive decisions the time they deserve. Connect rooms, routines, electrics, finishes, lead times, trades and budget before beautiful surfaces make changes more disruptive.
Includes: Big Decisions Board · Spend Now / Wait / Live In It First · Permanent-Choice Pause · Room Walkthroughs · Electrical Conversation Sheet · Lead-Time Ledger · Critical Path & Delay Buffer · Move-In Minimum
04
Move Calmly
Choose which help is worth paying for, compare moving quotes properly and know what is inside the box before the kettle disappears for three days.
Includes: Moving Service Decision · Quote Comparison · Moving Countdown · Box Index · First Night & First Week · First Night Threshold
05
Make It Home
Learn the house before filling every gap. Build warmth through light, colour, material, scent, personal objects and the small rituals that make rooms feel inhabited.
Includes: First Rooms Edit · Warmth Layers · Home Feeling Maps · Ritual Anchor · Slow Finish Plan · First 30 Days · Your Home Book
The Pages You Will Not Find in an Ordinary Moving Checklist
The Moving Light Edit
A guided way to decide which larger belongings are definitely moving, need measuring, should be sold or donated, or require a decision by a real date.
Spend Now / Wait / Live In It First
A practical pause between "we need this" and "we need this immediately". Sort decisions by timing as well as desire, so the first budget does not have to finish the entire house.
Live the Room Before It Exists
Begin with the future sofa, dining table, coffee corner, bedside routine and evening light before turning those moments into questions for the builder, electrician or kitchen specialist.
Critical Path & Delay Buffer
Make visible which work sets the pace, which trades can work around one another and where drying, curing, delivery or scheduling delays need breathing room.
The Box Labelling System
Give each box a number, destination room, floor, contents summary and unpacking priority. Use Open First Night, Open First Week, Can Wait or Storage - and keep the separate label pages ready to print again.
Home Feeling Maps
Plan a room around what happens there, how it should feel, what you already own, what is functionally missing and what may be better observed before buying.
Who It’s For
- You have bought a new-build, empty shell or newly purchased home.
- You are waiting for the keys or already planning the handover window.
- Several decisions, trades, quotes and delivery dates are beginning to overlap.
- You want the house to feel considered without purchasing every final layer immediately.
- You prefer a beautiful, calm workbook to corporate project-management software.
- You want practical guidance that acknowledges the emotional reality of moving.
It May Not Be the Right Fit If
- You need technical construction drawings, electrical calculations or professional building specifications.
- You want a contractor-management platform with accounts and live collaboration.
- You are looking only for a one-page moving checklist.
- You require personalised interior-design or financial advice.
How It Feels to Use
- See the whole season before entering the details.
- Clear what should not consume packing time, moving cost and space in the next home.
- Give the early, permanent and expensive decisions the time they deserve.
- Compare moving quotes properly and know what is inside the box before the kettle disappears for three days.
- Learn the house before filling every gap, and let warmth build slowly.
The New Home Studio Method
Give the season a shape before it overwhelms you: leave lighter, plan the practical, move calmly and make it home - each stage carrying its own named tools, from the Moving Light Edit to the Home Feeling Maps.
Enough structure to trust the plan, without needing an app, spreadsheet or project-management platform.
Created From the Parts of Moving That Ordinary Planners Leave Out
When we moved into our new-build home, the bathroom was ready. Almost everything else was still becoming.
The electrical plan had demanded decisions long before the rooms existed. Plastering and drying set the pace. Our painter worked around other trades for another four or five weeks. The floor ran late. The kitchen and final lighting arrived after we were already living there. We used our old sofa, went without a dining table for a while and accepted that boxes would remain visible longer than anyone enjoys.
Yet the first night - after handing over the keys to our old house - was extraordinarily special.
That experience changed how I think about planning a home. You need somewhere for the practical facts, but you also need permission to distinguish between unfinished and unliveable. You need to know which decisions belong before the walls are closed, and which become clearer only after making coffee in the kitchen for a week.
The New Home Studio is the companion I would have wanted beside the builder’s drawings, quotes, moving boxes and slowly settling rooms.

More Connected Than Three Separate Planners
You Might Be Thinking
I already have a moving checklist.
A checklist can remind you to redirect the post. The Studio is for the connected decisions a checklist rarely holds: whether furniture fits, where the light belongs, which work blocks the floor, what needs ordering now, which boxes open first and what can safely remain unfinished.
My builder already gave me an options list.
The builder's list tells you what can be selected. The Studio helps you consider how those options relate to your future rooms, routines, furniture, finishes and budget before discussing technical requirements with the relevant professional.
We have already received the keys.
Begin where the pressure is. Move Calmly and Make It Home remain useful after handover, while the Slow Finish Plan and First 30 Days pages help separate genuine friction from purchases that only feel urgent.
I do not want to print 103 pages.
You do not need to. Keep a clean master, use the PDF digitally where convenient and print only the section or repeatable worksheet needed for the stage you are in.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in The New Home Studio?
The download includes a 97-page A4 Signature Planning Workbook and a separate six-page printable Box Label Studio PDF. Together they cover the period before moving, early new-home decisions, trade and timing considerations, moving logistics and the first weeks of making the house feel like home.
Is this only for new-build homes?
No. The Studio is especially detailed for new-build, empty-shell and handover decisions, but much of Leave Lighter, Move Calmly and Make It Home also applies to an existing home purchase. It is not a renovation specification or construction manual.
Is the workbook in English?
Yes. The complete Founding Edition is written in English.
Is anything physically shipped?
No. This is a digital product. You receive PDF files to save and use digitally or print yourself.
What paper size is it designed for?
Both PDFs are designed in A4 format. Print at actual size or fit to printable area according to the requirements of your printer.
Can I print worksheets more than once?
Yes, for your own personal use. Keep a clean master copy and reprint repeatable room, decision and box-label pages as needed. The files may not be resold, redistributed or shared as templates.
Does it provide technical, electrical or financial advice?
No. The Studio helps you prepare decisions and professional conversations. Qualified builders, electricians, installers, financial professionals and other relevant specialists must confirm requirements for your particular property and circumstances.
Can I use it if we are already living in the house?
Yes. Start with Make It Home, the Home Feeling Maps, the Slow Finish Plan and First 30 Days pages. Earlier sections can still help with remaining purchases, rooms and decisions.
How will I receive the files?
After a successful payment, you will receive an email with download links for both PDF files. Check the email address used at checkout and your spam or promotions folder if it does not arrive, then contact essy@essyspictures.com with your order details.
Can I return a digital download?
Because this is digital content delivered immediately after payment, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply once you have confirmed this and received access - see the checkout step for the exact wording you agree to. Paid digital products are non-refundable once delivered.
