Essy's Essentials

Seasonal Printable

A Postcard from Cortelume

A small printable keepsake from the summer village: warm paper, lemon branches, a little harbour view and space for a note to someone who would understand.

Set at Piazza del Lume / Bottega Basso

The front of an illustrated Cortelume postcard: the village map on warm cream paper, a sprig of lemons, and the line "A postcard from the summer village", marked Collectable No. 01, Summer.

Front

The back of the Cortelume postcard: "A small note from Cortelume", a "Dear friend," writing space, a "To:" address field, a stamp box, and a faded Cortelume map watermark in the corner.

Back

Some places ask to be remembered properly.

Not with a quick photo, not with a saved link, not with something disappearing into a camera roll — but with a small note, a piece of paper, a few words written slowly.

In Cortelume, postcards are kept in a wooden tray at Bottega Basso, between jars of honey, folded linen napkins and paper-wrapped almond biscuits from Forno Nica. Some are bought by visitors. Some are tucked into books. Some are left on café tables at Piazza del Lume, as if the village itself has decided who should find them next.

This printable postcard is a small keepsake from the summer village: made for warm paper, lemon branches, harbour light and the kind of message that does not need to be long to mean something.

Print it, send it, frame it, tuck it into your journal, or place it beside a summer table setting as a tiny seasonal detail.

Ways to Use It

1. Send it to someone

Write a short note to someone who would understand the feeling of Cortelume: slow mornings, open windows, warm bread, summer evenings and the small luxury of not rushing.

Wish you were here for coffee before the village wakes.

2. Tuck it into your journal

Use it as a small seasonal marker in your notebook or summer journal. Write what you want this season to feel like, then keep it between pages as a reminder.

This summer, I want to linger over…

3. Style it at home

Place it on a tray with a coffee cup, perfume bottle, linen napkin, figs, lemons or a candle. It works beautifully as a small visual object for a shelf, desk, kitchen counter or bedside table. Very Essy’s Essentials: not decoration for decoration’s sake, but a small atmospheric anchor.

4. Use it for a summer table

Add it to a dinner table as a menu detail, place setting or little note for guests. It can sit beside a folded napkin, under a glass, or on top of a plate with a sprig of rosemary or lemon leaf. Pairs well with linen napkins, amber glassware, figs or peaches, small candles, handwritten place cards, and the Windows Open, Dinner Late playlist.

5. Keep it as a seasonal collectible

Every Essy's Essentials season can have its own postcard. Over time, these become a small archive of the worlds we visit. This postcard is not just a printable — it is the first piece of the Cortelume collection.
