The Little Things · A Valentine’s Edit
The Little Valentine Tray
Make a little plan for two, with a friend or just for you.

Choose your company, a drink, something to eat and what you would like to do. The Little Valentine Tray brings those choices together as a small plan, with a short shopping list and an order for getting ready. You can download the plan as a text file or print it. Everything is free and you do not need an account.
Start with the part you are looking forward to. That might be hot chocolate and a story, coffee with a friend, or something savoury beside a film you both actually want to watch.
Build your little moment
Choose one option in each group below. The illustrated tray changes as you choose; your plan is ready when you press “Make my little plan”. You can change your mind and make another.
What goes on the tray?
Your company
Just for me: one cup, one good place to sit and the freedom to choose your own favourite things.
For the two of us: a small breakfast, some reading side by side or a film afternoon with snacks.
With a friend: coffee and a proper catch-up, something sweet or a savoury plate to share.
Your drink
Choose coffee, tea or hot chocolate, with the milk or alternative you prefer. The plan will remind you what to put on the shopping list and how many cups to set out.
Something to eat
Choose a croissant, a little cake or something savoury. For the savoury option, the plan suggests a modest selection of bread or crackers, a dip and olives or vegetables. It is a small serving idea; add more if you are making it part of a full meal.
What you feel like doing
Read a little: settle into a chapter, or leave forty minutes for The Table by the Window.
Have a proper catch-up: make room for a conversation. If the time is yours, use it to write a note or think about a small plan you would enjoy making.
Take our time over breakfast: use the cups and plates you like, add something savoury if wanted, and sit down before the coffee goes cold.
Put a film on: choose the film before you settle in. Romantic, funny, full of action — choose something you genuinely want to watch. The Watching Room can help you browse.
Three ready-made places to begin
The window-seat chapter
Hot chocolate, a small piece of cake and time to read. Make the cup first, put the cake on a plate and find a comfortable seat with enough light. The story from Hollowpine is complete, so you can read all six chapters in one sitting if you like.
A coffee worth putting in the diary
Two coffees, a croissant each and one friend you would like to see. Find a time that works, ask how they take their coffee and leave room for the conversation to go where it wants.
Plan a small Galentine’s for two.
Snacks and an action film, if you like
A drink each, something savoury to share and a film you both want to see. Bas and I can enjoy a proper action film on Valentine’s just as much as a romantic one. The good part is having a pleasant afternoon together.

Can I save my plan?
Yes. Once you have made your plan, use “Download my plan” for a plain-text copy or “Print my plan” for a printable version. The choices are only used in this page while you make the plan; they are not sent to us or saved in your account.
Do I need to buy anything special?
Use what you have where you can: your cups, a plate, a tray and a comfortable seat. A favourite bakery treat or a few savoury things from the fridge can be enough. The shopping list is a prompt to check what you need, rather than a requirement to buy everything new.
Check the labels and instructions for the food and drinks you choose. Preparation time depends on what you buy and make. The tool organises a simple serving idea; it does not calculate nutrition or provide cooking instructions for unfamiliar products.
What if I would rather go out?
Take the idea with you. Coffee and a croissant can become breakfast somewhere new; a catch-up can begin with a short walk. If you would like an outing to look forward to, explore Tiny Escapes, or give someone a lunch date, museum visit or concert you think they would love.
