Money, Softly Managed
The Autumn Spending Edit
A soft, non-judgemental review of what to keep, pause and let go of this autumn - so spending matches what the season actually needs.

Autumn has a way of quietly resetting how we spend: subscriptions renew, the wardrobe wants attention, and the first thoughts of Christmas start to appear.
This is not an exercise in cutting back for its own sake. It is a chance to look, gently and honestly, at what this season is asking for - and decide with intention rather than by default.
A Few Questions First
- What did I genuinely enjoy spending on last autumn?
- What subscriptions or small recurring costs have I stopped noticing?
- What is one thing I would love to save for this season, if I made a little room for it?
- Where has spending been more about habit than actual enjoyment lately?
The Review
Keep
- Things that genuinely add to your everyday life, without a second thought
Pause
- A subscription or habit worth stepping away from for one season, not forever
Cancel
- Anything you have not used or noticed in the last three months
Save for Later
- Something you want, but that can wait for the right season or occasion
Worth It
- A quality purchase that will genuinely be used and loved this season
Not This Season
- Something appealing right now, but that does not fit this season’s priorities
One Beautiful Purchase
- One considered, non-essential purchase you are choosing on purpose
Experiences First
- A moment or trip prioritised over another object for the home or wardrobe
Small Next Steps
- Review your subscriptions and cancel or pause at least one.
- Choose one "One Beautiful Purchase" for the season, on purpose.
- Add anything in "Save for Later" to The Seasonal Savings List.
- Revisit this edit again at the start of winter.
